Artist Bio

Primarily self taught and newly transplanted to Tucson, I began working as a professional artist a few years ago in Dallas. Encouraged by the reception I’ve received from the great people of the desert southwest, I look forward to continuing my art journey in this vibrant and friendly city. Being a bit of a quiet introvert, I see my art as my opposite. Bold color, textured layers, and movement create a visual that is impossible to ignore. Yes, a lot of my subject matter is flowers, but my creations are certainly no wallflowers. My clients and collectors tell me that my art “makes them happy”. There is no greater compliment!

Description of Medium

I work in the mixed medias of acrylic, ink, paper, and charcoal. I add many layers of texture and paint, removing some of those layers as the piece progresses and am delighted by the discovery of what lies beneath.
