Ron Nelson

South of Grant, November 9 & 10, 2019 | 10am-5pm

Artist Bio

I was born and raised in San Jose, California. I received my BFA from Cal-State Hayward, and MFA from University of Wisconsin, Madison. An artist my entire adult life, I have over fifty years of experience in creating art. Working in many mediums, I create in neon, clay, watercolors, cast paper and pies.

Description of Medium

I utilize shredded newspaper and water to create paper pulp, drain the water and add surplus house paint, all recycled materials. The resulting paper-mache-like material is cast into molds and dries into a hard surface that can be painted. I also work in clay.
