Artist Bio

Lorraine is a classically trained realist artist with a lineage she can trace back to the 19th century French Academy. Her work has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, (October 2018 Annual Collector’s Issue), American Art Collector, (March 2018), and has been recognized with numerous awards including from The Butler Institute of American Art. Lorraine’s work is in national, international, private and corporate collections.

Description of Medium

Lorraine's work explores subtle to vivid color harmonies through still-life and figure. She paints in oils directly from still-life set ups or the model under natural light. Currently she uses the rich theme of birds and the fluid designs of Art Nouveau to inspire her creations.
