Artist Bio

A Tucson artist, I grew up in NYC where The Brooklyn Museum of Art served as my rainy day playground; hide-and-seek in and around the mummy cases was a favorite game. I taught art at the Tucson Museum of Art and in Sells Arizona on the Tohono O’odham Reservation where I started a photography program funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. I also taught at Pima Community College where I was Director of the Art Gallery on the West Campus.

Description of Medium

My work is about color. It contains slightly varied elements which I integrate into an ordered, unified space through painting. I create relationships by placing one color next to another, and then one panel next to another. The results intrigue and surprise me.
