Artist Bio

After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Apparel Design and a 20 year career in the Fashion Industry in NYC, I focused on knitting and crocheting with wire which led to launch of Studiojere in 2012. Learning from Adrienne Sloane and Joy Raskin helped me hone my knitted wire skills. Now 7 years later, my work is being carried in major galleries and shops that include hand made wearable art.

Description of Medium

My jewelry is created from copper wire that is crocheted or "knitted". Four different knitting techniques are currently being used in my work. The wire is embellished with beaded elements including gemstones, glass beads, raku and bead weaving techniques. Mixed media designs incorporate variegated yarns, hand dyed ribbons and glass or resin beads.
