Artist Bio

I am an independent artisan who creates original fiber arts items and jewelry. My items are loom woven, hand stitched, hand-spun and carefully crafted. I also paint, draw and engage in photography. All of my work is done in my home studio. I use only the finest materials. I do not produce quantities of any item. Many of my creations are originals designs . Some are one of a kind, but many can be custom ordered. I have lived and traveled all over the work and my work reflects the influences of the many cultures and artistic traditions which I have experienced. My studio home is in the desert Southwest and much of my art reflects this unique and beautiful environment. I call myself “the barefoot treadler” because here in this climate, I often work barefooted, treadling my loom or my spinning wheel with my bare feet. I am an active member of the Tucson Handweavers and Spinners Guild and my work has been juried by the Guild.

Description of Medium

I work in multiple disciplines as I feel inspired. I draw, paint and take photographs that inspire my jewelry and weaving.
