Open Studio Tours (OST) is one of the largest self-guided showcases of artist studios and creative work spaces in the region running for over 10 years. Throughout its history, OST has allowed Tucson and Pima County’s artists to invite visitors into their studios/workspaces, free-of-charge, so they can directly engage with the working artists, see where art is created, and learn more about their artistic processes.
With OST going online, the intent and spirit of the event has not changed, but instead has been adapted to a virtual format.
Artists can upload descriptions, pictures and video of their artworks and creative workspaces and have the opportunity to host Virtual Studio Tours through Zoom during the event dates. By browsing the individual Artist Pages, visitors can still learn about and engage with artists, virtually visit studios/workspaces, and purchase art directly from local artists in Southern Arizona.

Among the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona’s (AFTSA) overarching goals is the aim to advance artistic expression, civic participation, and the equitable economic growth of our diverse community by supporting artists with opportunities beyond funding in order to meet a need identified by community members. Open Studio Tours help AFTSA fulfill these aspects of our goals by supporting increased professional and marketing development for artists, helping to increase the financial sustainability of working artists beyond our traditional grant-making, and increasing the participation of artists with the broader community.
See all the participating artists and explore their work through pictures, videos, and studio tours! Purchasing information is located at the bottom of each artist listing.
Check out the resources and professional development that were provided for artists during Open Studio Tours which will be staying up as a continued resource.
